Bought an '88 R11GTX last saturday.
Fuck!
Some **hole smashed my rearviewmirror on sunday. Only the mirror itself is broken, the rest still works.
What's easier, replace the whole thing or just the mirror?

Removing and replacing the whole mirror rally is easy
1 Unclip and remmove the door trim strip;
2 Undo the retaining screw at the base of the triangular facing panel;
3 Wind the window down and undo the screw securing remote control mechanism to the facing panel and lift off the panel;
4 Push the rubber grommet in the centre of the mirror mount through, using a screw driver;
5 Undo the three screws and remove the mirror and control mechnism from the door;
6 Refitting is the reverse sequence to removal.
