I was unable to make it up to that event due to the fact that I was at the Worlds for K-9 Prosports, yet here is my take.
I have watched over the whole transformation of that group from prior American Street Ring members (competitors, decoys, board of director members, secretary, etc.) to leaders of a new and from appearances so far compelling sport as a causal observer only.
I feel as though it has a lot of potential, the people involved have a solid understanding of where they are trying to go and how they plan on getting there. I personally know Keith and Mo Earl and would consider them good people, I have met Matt Hammond once and had a good impression of him. They seem to be open to outside input whether that be positive or constructive criticism which I personally believe is a must for all dog sports. I think the scenarios (from what I have read) seem to be well thought out and produce a certain level of realism that is missing in a lot of sports.
I have always found it hard to truly judge a sport without being in attendance, so I will leave my actual impression as a whole until I watch it for myself. I plan on attending their event in February and will report back on my impressions further at that point.
If any of the A.P.P.D.A members are peaking in on this board by all means jump in and give us your take…
