Hi all....I think it is absolutely great Dede, you are including APPDA on you forum. We are looking forward to a program that will be realistic as possible, for both personal protection type dogs and street, working patrol dogs.
The seminar in February is not only for Handlers to come and try the exercises, but for Decoy certification and for Evaluator certification. The hope is... this program will be credible, realistic, and hopefully in the future a recognized venue that can be a certification for Patrol/working dogs and a true test for personal protection dog, so that you may realize what they will or will not do in a close to real situation as possible. The BOD is open to suggestions/criticism and working together with members. Anyone that wants to drive to Loxahatchee on Sunday a.m. @9...to train....the welcome mat is out! Thanks Ron and Wayne for your positive comments....with both of your years of experience...APPDA would benefit to have you all.
Currently the EL and Level One protection side rules are on the board. The Patrol side Level Ones were recently ammended slightly, adding escorts mostly and changing order- if anyone wants a copy emailed to them let me know- our webmaster should be getting them on the board in the next few days- but some changes were made.
