Is it true Fila's do not need attack training?

I have two females, and i am curious if the training is more for teaching them the "when" or the "how".

What I mean is, does the training come into play for teaching them when NOT to attack, to be more stable?

Or how to attack and to be more confident while doing so at the right time?

Thanks!

Also, I have a German Shepherd who is trained and how would I "practice" without a decoy for his commands and such to know he would or could apply his training when needed?

Thanks again!

Bonnie
