Can you go back to records from a trial of yours that happened at Tarheel in Carolina year 2000 in December? It's a female german shepherd that was handled by a guy named Tracy (Tracey) I think, not sure, but the dogs name is Tess (Tessa?) and you trained her (and, by the way, I've been told whoever trained this dog knew what they were doing). Anyway, I just need the real name of the dog if you happen to have that written on the entry form, I would be greatly appreciative. It's just one leg I'm missing of a Black Jack grandson I'm raising. Tess would be the grandmother of the missing leg of info.

Lynn,

Hope all is going well, and thanks for the kind words. We use the call name on all the entries so I don't have Tess' registered name, sorry, although I definitely remember her.

I do know someone with a pedigree of one of her sisters, I will try to look at it and see if there is anything to learn from it.

You can also call anytime 817 483 2026

I enjoyed chatting w/you this morning, Butch. I will bring Tess out this coming Friday, if you don't mind (I have her grandson I'm socializing) ... Maybe somebody would like to see Tess again? (She still likes to bite and looks great for her age.) Also, if Pistol's pedigree is on the GSD database, if I had his full name I could look it up and tell if there's a sister to Tess in it.

Well, Brina (Holly) is possibly a half-sister, not a full to Tess. Holly being born 6/2/98 ... Tess 12/1/97. Plus I viewed the whole Holly litter at AKC online from 00 to 15 and none of them are Tess (there was a Tokillya male in that litter though). Anyway, it looks like Mellodee bred more than one female to Esko vom Black Star (Cathy Jobe owned that dog here in Dallas), making X-Rae (Raven) & Holly half sisters for sure, but not Tess. Anyway, if Tess is in fact out of Germelhaus kennel, then maybe Mellodee will know who the dam was that whelped in Dec of 1997. Thanks, I enjoyed my visit and Tess certainly did too.

I'm sorry thatI wasn't much help, but I really loved seeing tess again. Thanks so much for bringing her. Maybe someday I can have her back with me. Hope to see you both again soon. Paulette

Well, I took tess out to Germelhaus today and Mellodee confirmed that Tess is NOT from her kennel and not related to Holly or Raven, although she remembers this dog being worked and the two half sisters and black jack. She thinks maybe Tess came from Sandy Duncan.
Don't get your hopes up, but I am not giving an option of renewal on her contract, so you will have an answer by the 14th of this month.

I will give Sandy Duncan a call and see what I can find out. Maybe she can help. I won't get my hopes up for now. Paulette.
