What gender is your computer?

My pc is male. I've got Hal from 2001: A Space Odyssey. Not everyone has a HAL 9000 computer. It doesn't care what I want, does stuff I didn't tell it to do and decides to shut down whenever it feels like it. Hal is old, doesn't even have a USB socket. Yesterday I changed email provider. Hal hates Yahoo and crashes when I check my email so I was forced to change to Googlemail which seems like a better deal altogether anyway so Hal is intelligent, no doubt.

My computer is obviously FEMALE because it always works right. It does what it's supposed to do when it's supposed to do it.
If it was male, it would be a lazy bastard and nothing would ever get done or work right.

Seriously though, I have never been one to assign genders or names to machines.
To me, they are just machines / tools.

But in the spirit of things, I would say all my Linux and Mac computers are female. Oh, wait, there's that windows XP machine I have. It's got to be male, it has a broken hard disk.. LOL!! It just doesn't preform well. As soon as it warms up it gives out.
Typical male..

Oh, I almost forgot, my Mac, she talks. It was voice alerts for events and I gave it a female voice.
Who the hell wants to listen to a man anyway? Pffffft.
