There is an association between low testosterone levels and Alzheimer disease in both men and women (see link 1). In a large twenty-year study, low testosterone preceded the diagnosis of Alzheimer disease, suggesting that low testosterone levels put men at risk for Alzheimers. (see link 2).
There is also a connection between low testosterone levels and both Parkinson and Huntington diseases, two other states where cognitive function is lost (see link 3). But clinical studies generally have not shown improved cognitive function in Alzheimer or Parkinson patients that have been treated with testosterone.

It's better to go "Ga Ga" with style and panache and large breasts, rather than die sane and unhappy. :-)

I believe keeping testosterone levels to a normal biological females should be OK. There shouldn't be any risk of those diseases unless your T levels are way too low or none at all.
Then again you can always tie a string around your finger! Then try to remember why you did that. :-D

I guess using testosterone blockers for years on end might put someone at risk for this though if they are already in their fifties or so.

Yeah,I suppose that could happen. But then again, damaged nonstick frying pans, aluminum cookware and some other products that people use in their daily lives could put them at risk too. This day and age, who knows what all can cause these things to happen! They're always finding something NEW! :-/
