Actually it wasn't a trip , as the lake is less than 10 minutes from the house. I had ordered myself a new flyrod , a TFO (Temple Fork Outfitters ) Bug Launcher 7foot 4 weight , and wanted to try it out . So I invited my brother to go , and after stopping at Subway , on the way , we were on the water by noon for an afternoon of chasing bluegills . The weather was perfect , with temps in the upper 60's . We fished for about 5 hours , in which we caught 40+ bluegill, sunfish and an occasional yearling largemouth bass . The rod did great , a nice caster and a nice addition to my collection. I had no problems casting 50-60 feet of the 4 wt. weight forward line . The lure of the day was a #8 black woolly booger . Here's a cellphone picture my brother took . I thought he was just getting the fish and small section of the rod , that's why the odd way I'm holding the rod . kirby [IMG]
