If you've read the very latest interviews with Twhoy, then you'll know that he hasn't even written a script for the next two movies yet and it is FAR from being green lit. Twohy himself said that they were going to closely watch the DVD sales to see if this would tempt the studios into backing another movie. Some comments he made actually made it sound like they were only going to do one more movie and combine going to the underverse and returning to Furia. Twohy also stated that the budget would be much smaller, it would be filmed more like PB was, and it would be rated R.
I love both of these movies. I love Riddick and the other characters. I love the storyline. As much as I'd love to see more movies set in this universe, it is very likely that it won't happen.
Let's just hope that the DVD sells well enough to get the studios to back Vin and David to finish up this story.
