Q: I'm looking for "trucker style" chrome mirrors for 1962 dodge d100 pickup also need brake hoses and
preformed stainless steel brake lines and fuellines. 1962 dodge d100 2wd drum brakes frt & rear.
A: The "trucker style" mirrors, (actually called "west Coast Mirrors,"), are the most common mirror and can usually be scored at most local junkyards carrying older parts vehicles. As with all of the parts from these trucks, original good condition items are very rare. But keep your eyes peeled, parts are around. And, keep looking on eBay. Visit a quality brake shop or custom hot-rod shop for brake & fuel parts to be custom fabricated. That's the easiest and safest way to go for brake & fuel lines. The drums are difficult to find. Although we're fans of "original" parts and resto.'s we feel that for brake and suspension, it's best to rip out all of the old parts and go new with aftermarket custom hot-rod shop items. It's just simply safer driving.
Hope this helps! |
