latent infection is when the virus stays in your organ/tissue without any replication, then it reactivates some times later. e.g HSV
chronic infection is when the virus continuously replicating itself but in a small quantity (e.g HBV)
inapparent infection is when the virus got in your body no infection occurred because of its failure to reach to the target organs.
