My LG110 has a long chamber to seat heavy pellets easy.
I want to buy a 5/8" barrel blank and replace the barrel.
If the rifling comes all the way down to the breach wouldn't that be a problem seating the pellet without damaging it. My thinking is making a chamber about .180" diameter and 1/2" long to guide the pellet into the tapered leade of the rifling. I know that my R1 just has enough space (Taper) to install the pellet with thumb pressure but the LG110 barrel has a chamber before it engages the rifling. My whole idea is to seat the pellet straight without any damage and have the incoming air move it forward into the leade of the barrel. I have tried seating 10.2 gr JSB pellets in Steyr 100 barrels and had them damaged because the barrel chamber was too short to seat them without damage. I am informed that the LG110 barrel has a longer chamber to prevent damage to the heavy pellets. So you can see what I want to accomplish.
Thanks everyone for your replies.
