but they're called cam follower bearings. And you won't find them on home/hobby grade metal working equipment. We use them on "real" lathes, the kind you can earn a living wage operating. We use them for heavy cuts (.125+) on TGP shafting so the supported surface won't scar from the side load. A lot less prone to chatter than friction followers, also.
