A too-short receiver or striker spring housing, valve stem too large, too small an air chamber, too many places to seal, too large a valve seat, too short a barrel mount, you name it, I've done it.
I think the best way to try to build an "ultimate" is to first identify the "Exemplar", or example(s) known to be pretty high state for what you to knock off the pedestal. Then you identify the strong, and (more importantly), the weaker areas of the Exemplar, and address them in your new design. |
