With Crosman strikers is if they aren't first softened, the only thing that worked for me was US made carbide tooling. I've tried HSS, and cobalt and neither worked for me. Why are you going to turn the striker? To lighten it?
If weight reduction is your goal, there is better way to do it, rather than reducing the bearing between the striker and the tube. As for the $10.00 indicators, they should be accurate enough for most airgun projects.
