Harbor Frieght lathe riser extentions for bed feet any good

Mine is the Harbor Frieght unit

The lathe came with two riser extentions that the lathe can bolt to and then 2 bolts hold the risers thru pre drilled holes in the drip pan.

They are poorly made(hollow welded sheet not cast iron) and not level has anybody else used them? I don't want to stress the cast bed and twist it.

Any low cost Suitable true and square items I could use for risers easily available ??


The one feed handle does not clear the table in the down position with out the risers unless I mount the lathe closer to front edge of table I will use...but then there are holes in the drip pan that will leak the cutting fluids
