I wish I had a dime for every item I have repaired or rebuilt with my machine tools over the years for my Cars, bikes, guns, household items, you name it. That does not even compare to the money I have made making stuff for friends and strangers over the years. Machine tools, at least decent ones pay for themselves quickly. Personally I cannot imagine NOT having a mill and lathe and welder in my shop. I just sold my old small CNC mill and another manual mill to help pay for my new CNC and right now it is not powered up yet and I ALREADY feel like my hands are tied. When you have access to machines like these for so long it becomes second nature to use them for about everything and things that might not have even been considered repairable that way become easily fixed. It is kind of an addiction really... a sickness... and before you know it your cars are sitting outside of your multi car garage and you find every excuse to buy another machine or piece of tooling so you can do ANYTHING!! It is a vicious cycle for sure...hehehe peace
