What do you mean when you say you don't think it could turn a 15" marshmallow? Not enough horsepower, or is it something else? I have an older 12x24 Grizzly belt drive gap bed, although I've never removed the gap and don't expect to ever need to for what I do with it. It was a bit weak when I got it, combo of tired 30 year old Chinese motor and bad belts, among other things, but after replacing the 1.5 hp motor with a 2 hp and installing a set of link belts in place of the old, worn out v-belts, it's a real pleasure to work with, and will do anything I ask of it, short of knurling, but that's a tool post issue, not the machine. I guess what I'm saying is that maybe yours just needs some TLC. The link belts made a huge improvement, both in power transfer (no more belt slip), and in vibration elimination. Later.
