a small quilt that will be a wall hanging. I'm going to go and work on it, I'll take a picture maybe on Monday to show you all! By the way, I'm not done dh's top sheet yet, but it will only take about an hour to finish it. I just needed something fresh to work on, you know what I mean?

I'm also practicing the free motion stitching on my sewing machine. Did I say that right? It's where you lower the feed dogs and meander the stitching where ever. Well so far it doesn't look the best, I've practiced on scrap material, but I'll keep at it. I so want to do that fancy stitching. I've read on the internet that my sewing machine is not the greatest for this kind of quilting, so I don't know if I'll be able to accomplish this or not.

Hi Daisy!

October 20 2007, 2:24 PM

I can't wait to see what you are working on! I know its going to look lovely on your freshly painted walls! and I do understand about needing to do something different, I have taken a vacation heehee, from my bookmarks and cardmaking, sometimes I just get filled up and my head all muddled and I need a change of pace.

My

machine doesn't work very well with the free motion sewing either.  Of course I haven't practiced very much.  I understand wanting to have something fresh to work on.  I usually have 2 or 3 things going on at the same time.

Okay here is a picture ....

October 23 2007, 8:42 PM

I thought that I would be finished this by now, but I'm not ... will probably finish it by next week. Anyway it's not square because the border is not sewn on yet, I just pinned it in place so you ladies can see what it will eventually look like. It's not my best work, I have to admit that, I kind of rushed on it, I did quilt it with my machine, but you can't tell in the picture, the back did pucker, next time I'll know to use more pins. Anyway here it is. I just made up my own pattern, I didn't follow one ... perhaps I should have ...heehee!

Thank you so much ladies ...

October 25 2007, 5:37 PM

Your comments really encourage me to keep on keepin on. I finished it yesterday. I made lots of mistakes on it but since I used transparent thread you can't notice like you would if I used colored thread.

Tea- those are called pinwheels. I can really see how they look like packages though, how neat is that?

Thanks Tea ....

I don't know how much talent I have, but I'll keep on trying. One thing I do is pray before I make something ... ask the Lord to bless these hands of mine.
