Message: TFN: "In what is possibly the most provocative move ever staged by a Scottish charity, disability organisation Enable Scotland: http://www.enable.org.uk/ has launched a controversial advertising campaign comparing people who have learning difficulties to pets in an attempt to highlight the disparities in public giving between the two sectors. In the UK, 11 per cent of the public donate to animal charities, while just 6.6 per cent pledge cash to disability charities. Is this high-risk strategy deliberately attempting to polarise the giving public in an effort to get a bigger share of the cash pot? Or is it a genuine attempt to address people's perception of where the money goes? Do disabled charities deserve more money than animals?"
