Margaret and I run the support group for families of children with Down's Syndrome who are between 5 and 10 years of age.
We hope to meet monthly at a soft play venue or something similar which is suitable for our children. We hope this will enable them to make some friends and give the parents support from other parents.

hello lynne we wood like to get alteer about downs syndrome i have got it my mum is now working in mary hill she is working for pople who have learning didsbltblty

This is Morna, Bella's mum - we live in the same street as you! Bella has Downs Syndrome - you met Bella about a year ago when I was planting in the front garden. I see you going off to lots of places with different people - what sort of things do you do?

Thank you for replying to my post and I apologise for taking so long to reply to you. I've had problems with my computer.
The group we run is for children between 5 and 10 years of age and you may find its not what you are looking for. However if you want to come along and help us with the younger children then you are very welcome. The next meeting is at 2pm on Sunday 11th March at Buckaroo Jaxx in East Kilbride. This is a soft play venue.
Or if what you are looking for is to meet up with other people who have similar interests to yourself, then please let me know what you are interested in and we can maybe put a post on the forum to find someone who also likes it.
Or if you have a few ideas you are welcome to come along to one of the committee meetings and put your ideas to us. We'd love to have you come along we are always looking for new ideas on what to arrange for the group.

Hi Everyone just to let you know that this group is up and running. There are anything from 4 to 10 families who meet up approx every 4-6 weeks. So come along and join in the fun.
