Hi,
Would anyone with DS aged 12-21 - maybe even older people if there is sufficient demand - be interested in a taster course in September 2007 - every Sunday - , with the chance to try indoor wall climbing in Glasgow at Ibrox climbing centre, abseiling, crag climbing and fell walking? The last day we would try an ascent of Ben Lomond, sponsored to raise funds for the Branch?

Professional, qualified instruction would be provided by Glasgow Climbing Centre and their experienced guides. But parents or adult sublings or supporters would be needed on a one-to-one ratio for the duration of the course - that means giving up five Sundays.

I need a minimum of five young people, and a maximum of ten to make this happen, and also we will need some support from branch funds to keep it free.

If there is good take-up I envisage having a monthly meet, indoors or outdoors, through the year.

Please post here or email me privately, rob (at) downswest.org.uk Also let me know if you are willing to pool transport.
