Just an update from the Swimming group. Preparations are under way for our third trip to the National Down's Syndrome Gala in Reading, which is being held on the 20th September. Again there has been an increase in the number of swimmers attending - there will be 10 going this year. Anybody interested in attending or helping with funding please feel free to contact me.
Also in November this year four of our swimmers are attending the Down's Syndrome World Swimming championship which is being held in Portugal. The swimmers and their families are also busy fundraising for this event and 2 fundraisng nights have been arranged. On the 27th June a disco is being held in the Moy Hall in Airdrie and on the 4th July a prize bingo night has been arranged in the Gartsherrie Club, Townhead, Coatbridge.
