Response to Decisions, Decisions

AVOIDANCE ... Desires to smoke are inevitable. Part of being an ex-smoker is wanting to smoke at times. If you spend time with these feelings, they become easy to handle. In the beginning, I needed to think long and hard about each desire. "What should I do?" "What's more important to me?" But with each desire I faced, and each decision I made, it became a little easier to not smoke. Desires to smoke are not threats to be avoided. They are opportunities to practice making decisions. And the more you practice, the easier not smoking gets.
