FAO whoever took the pictures...you seem to have just taken the same 2 or 3 places and included them over and over again, conveniently missing out the many green areas of abronhill, the many areas with pleasant looking housing and forest. of course the place is going to look like a concrete jungle if you only include pictures of boring concrete buildings, which EVERY fucking town has, and there are many that look much worse than abronhill. as for the shopping centre, well of course it is derilict as barely anyone uses it, they either travel 5 minutes and use the cumbernauld town centre or 20 minutes to get to glasgow. I have lived in abronhill for 20 years. its not perfect but i can think of plenty of areas much worse off. you have painted an inaccurate and unhelpful picture of the place

Fine, so please post some pictures here or on a photo/video sharing site like flickr or Youtube and then post the link here. If you love Abronhill, then here's your chance to put the other side of the argument.

That isnt the point, as I said, you have taken pictures of a very small area of abronhill that is VERY different to the majority of it and claim that all of abronhill is the same. it simply isnt, I shouldnt have to post pictures to prove it, just take a walk around the place mate. If all of abronhill looked like the above pictures then I simply would not live here. I have lived in 4 different houses in abronhill, in areas which are complete polar opposites to the small area you have decided to portray i.e. clean, lots of grass and trees and very little graffiti. If abronhill was as bad as you say then why would a fairly wealthy person such as myself choose to stay here after 4 moves? SHOCK HORROR maybe, just maybe, it isnt all that bad
I could go to any town and produce pictures of run down areas with graffiti like you have done. Thats just the way it is. Its not hard and just beacause you have done likewise with abronhill does not give you the right to compare it with soviet russia, beacause it isn't true.

OK, so let's see the photos- post a link to Flikr and show us the good bits please. As a regular visitor, I don't have an axe to grind, but I do find the place scary and bleak, and I would love you to give me a reason to go back, but right now I dont have that, just your assurance that everything in the garden is lovely.... so prove it!
