Tishie,
Many of us have have grown to greatly appreciate the hard work you have done and the personal sacrifices you have endured to give us this place to meet. It is obvious that your untiring efforts are a reflection of your unselfish heart and your genuine love for others.
Many have voiced their appreciation for this site and have come to make friends that in many cases will be forever. Some that have met on your board have even developed friendships that prompted them to meet in person and in some cases even fall in love. I know because of your efforts here, they will be forever grateful.
It's the ability to come here and meet others that have gone through the same things in life that I have that touches my heart and makes me personally thankful for your efforts. I don't know if you will ever fully appreciate what you have done here and how it has touched so many and brought a little glimmer of happiness to their lives. If there is one thing that at least every person that has visited your board knows, it's the fact that we are not alone. That in itself is a very comforting feeling and a real source to begin to heal.
I have done hundreds of pieces of art both digital and conventional in my life for personal and commercial reasons. This one I created just for you. It will not be recreated or used again after this posting. I know I speak for the majority of people on this board in expressing our appreciation for you loving efforts. I know you are passing the board on to Randy and will no longer be involved in its daily operation, but I just needed to express my feelings of thanks for the work you have done. I am expressing my feelings in the best way I can, by my art.
I am going to post this on both the old and new board so that you are sure to see it.
Tishie honey, I hope you know I feel the same way. I don't know that any of us can say enough how much this place has meant and will continue to mean as it changes and grows in the future. I'm so grateful to randy for stepping up of course, but you are still the person who came up with the idea and gave this place the charm and class that it has had for so many of us for so long. I know, it goes through these rough times, like life I guess huh?, but in the long run, this place has helped a lot of people, me included. Thanks again, you're truly one in a million.
Great post. Amen to that! I hope you begin a wonderful new segment of your life, and make sure to let us know how your doing. We will never forget what you have done THANK YOU!!!!
Even if I did have to meet Dave here, I won't hold that against you! *checks Dave's Pulse* who are you and what have you done with Dave???
Ven
Ummm Did you son write this one too!!! HAHH sorry no it was great and very touching. Looks like the Tin man found his heart after all
We love you too, Dave, and you have always been an asset to any board you grace with your presence. I hope you will join us at Randy's. Thank you for putting into words how we all feel about Tishie and her work over the years.
I'm glad you like the art. I just thought that it might make it a little more special to let you know that none of the art is a photograph. Every inch of it is created in a 3D program, the roses included. I felt that you warranted the many hours of work to create a completely original piece of art. You deserve it woman.
and as a totally non-artistic person who has tried with digital art programs to make things that look cool, I think I have an inkling of what it took to make that for me. I really like it a lot, and thank you so much, Dave!
and Tishie, I'm adding my thanks to you also. Without you and this board it would have been a very long and lonely road for me. You and the others have helped me get through these last 4 yrs**hugs** to ya
I got an email about Tishie's decision on passing this XJW site over to Randy. All I want to say to her is thank you for the creation of this site/board. When I did a search for "Jehovah's Witnesses" online back in Dec. '97, your "Support Group for X-JW's" was the first site on the list, and I took a look at it. And the rest is history.
This site helped me see the real truth on JW's, which made me decide to DA myself from them. Although I'm running my own boards now (which forced me cut down on my visits here), I still try to make occassional visits to this board, and I notice this board still has a nice atmosphere.
I hope Tishie has happiness for the rest of her life. Thanks again!
