For those interested, WWE.com has added $1,000,000 Tough Enough Winner Daniel Puder's bio on the Smackdown section.

The Royal Rumble website is also up. However not much has been added to it in the form of information.

Mick Foley will be guest Tuesday and Wednesday morning on WLIB NY (1190AM). He will co-host the 6AM to 9AM morning program with Marc Maron. For those who have XM or Sirius Radio, the show airs on Air America Radio. Other states air the program nationally, so check your local radio channels to see if it is available in your area. With Foley scheduled to host a radio show in 2005, I'm sure this appearance is to get him familiar with doing radio.

IN THE BIG EASY
DEC. 30, 2004

SmackDown! will be back on American soil as the program visits New Orleans this week.

After a few days off to enjoy Christmas, what kind of present might Big Show have for WWE Champion JBL?

Also, will Heidenreich attempt to stand up to Undertaker after he shamelessly walked out of their match last week in Iraq?

Don’t miss all the action as 2005 rapidly approaches on SmackDown! (8/7 CT) on UPN.

At an upcoming Raw event here in NY, they are hyping a "Bonus Match" between Triple H and Randy Orton with guest referee Shawn Michaels. The match is set to take place after Raw concludes.

Apparantly, WWE plans on doing this in several states as the same was announced for tonight's show in Biloxi. Can this be a prelude to Wrestlemania?

Q and A

December 23, 2004

Q: I noticed that on the new Rise and Fall of ECW DVD that several of the guys noted that they also did other jobs while in ECW, in addition to wrestling. Anyway, I was curious what else, if anything other than wrestling and booking in ECW did you do?
A: I lived in Calgary during my ECW run so I could really do any other jobs. You had to live locally to work in the office. I help Paul Book for a while but that wasn’t really a job.

Q: How important is a wrestler's finishing move with regards to their overall character (ie: bad finisher = fans not liking him as much?) Is there a lot of pressure to create a unique/impressive finisher?
A: I may be alone in thinking this but I think it’s the push that matters more than the finisher. Any finish will get over if you beat enough people with it. I thought the Mandible Claw was about the dumbest thing I ever saw, but it got over. Socko is ever sillier and even more over.

Q Who was your most difficult opponent to work with?
A: Koji Kitao. He was a former Sumo grand champion I had to work with in WAR. He was 6’ 8” tall and weighed about 375. He was soooo stiff and uncooperative.

Q: Have there been many occasions where opponents have refused to lose to you?
A: There may have but most times if someone is refusing to lose they do it to higher ups not to your face, so I wouldn’t know. Spike Dudley refused to go over on me once. We got in a huge fight backstage and I made him go over anyway.

Q: Considering your injuries have you ever regretted becoming a wrestler?
A: Not for a second, I’ve enjoyed myself and I consider myself in pretty good shape still. Ask me again when I turn 50. (LOL)

Q: Do you agree with Paul Heyman that RVD hasn’t been given a fair chance in WWE?
A: I think Rob could have been a much bigger star in WWE, yes.

Q: How do you feel about midget wrestling?
A: I miss seeing it, but I think he does a great job doing commentary on Smack Down. (LOL).

Q: How long do you plan to train in OVW for, 35 seems very young even by wrestling standards to retire?
A: I don’t have things planed out that specifically. I enjoy myself and will stay with it as long as it is enjoyable and they will have me.

Q: If it was offered to you, would you considering being a road agent for the WWE? On the downside, you'd be back to travelling again, but on the upside, you'd be hanging out with the guys again, without having to put your body through any abuse.
A: I would consider it if it was a part-time basis. Road agents have a worse schedule than the boys. I don’t’ want a full-time road schedule again. 3 out of 4 weeks on would be doable.

Q: Did Jericho really have Goldberg beat in a backstage fight a few years ago?
A: I would hesitate to call it a fight but Jericho did have him hooked in choke, and had to let Bill go when the altercation was broken up.

Q: Was it worth it? Being away from your family, missing out on b-days and anniversaries, not sleeping in your bed, missing out on the "normal" life.
A: Absolutely, I have a great family and a great home. If I didn’t move to Calgary for wrestling I never would have met my wife. I wouldn’t change a thing.

Q: What was it like working those house show matches against Dr. Death? Were those matches done to evaluate Steve Williams to see if he was ready for a WWE return?
A: I think they were looking at Steve again and considering a return. I enjoyed working with him. He has one of the best punches I’ve ever seen.

Q: Do you own any Fozzy albums/Do you like Fozzy's music?
A: I own every Fozzy album. There is a new one coming out in 2005, which I will buy also. I enjoy most of Fozzy’s stuff.

Q: What was it like working with the Heavenly Bodies?
A: I really enjoyed working with the Bodies, they were an excellent team.

Q: Do you think you and Chris Benoit would have great in-ring chemistry?
A: I don’t see why not, I’ve managed to gel with pretty much everyone I’ve worked with and he’s pretty versatile.

Q: Have you ever wrestled in Australia?
A: Yes with both WCW and WWE.

Q: What's the smallest crowd you've worked in front of?
A: I worked a Birthday Party. That was pretty small.

Q: Have you ever wrestled Jeff Jarrett?
A: I wrestled Jeff in WCW, and enjoyed it very much.

Q: If there ever was an ECW reunion show hosted by WWE, would you push to wrestle Jericho and call it a career for good? (or Benoit and keep Jericho in your back pocket for later)
A: Oddly enough I never even considered either guy. I don’t think of them when I think of ECW as they were there before me. Two guys have already put in dibs to work with me, so I doubt I would end up working either Jericho or Benoit if a show like this were to happen. Either would be great mind you.

That’s it for another week, or so. Keep the questions coming and please be brief and to the point.

Lance
