WWE hires new writer, Morale high backstage, Regal didn't return from UK and moreApril 28 2005 at 7:15 PM | PhenomForest.com | |
| - WWE recently hired a writer who once worked for the hit primetime soap "Beverly Hills: 90210" for the creative team. Although he obviously has a decent resume, many backstage are upset that WWE once again hired a "Hollywood" writer with limited wrestling knowledge.
- Even though morale has improved backstage in WWE, largely due to the increased pay from WrestleMania and the successful European tour, there are still complaints about accomodations for travel. With the fight that broke out involving WWE workers, it's no shock they weren't thrilled with their hotel in the UK.
- Deservedly, WWE talent will have a relaxed schedule over the weekend after returning from from their European tour. RAW workers of course have Backlash this Sunday, and then RAW the following night from Boston. SmackDown! talent will only have one show this week, their TV taping on Tuesday night.
- One person not returning from the tour was William Regal, who stayed behind in the UK to promote his book.
- It seems that the foreign tours are paying of for WWE workers, with morale being very high among workers. The tours have paid off for WWE which means workers are entitled to bigger bonuses. Speaking of bonuses, all those that appeared in the RAW vs. SmackDown! video game also got some big bonus checks.
- For those wondering, the RAW segment involving Hulk Hogan and Shawn Michaels was taped at last week's RAW.
