No doubt there will be many questions this fall when the TIMBERLINE BIGFOOT GROUP gathers for its LAST, organized fall hunt at PAT MAYSE LAKE, north of PARIS, TEXAS.
Why change our hunting area indeed. After all, we've achieved some small degree of sucess hunting this small, undeveloped lake. However, times change and so do attitudes.
After our last fall hunt in OCTOBER of 2008, John David, Deidra Myers, Kevin Crombie and myself began talking about what we've been able to do at PAT MAYSE, and what we've been unable to do.
The lake has had a great deal of attention focused on it since approximatly 2004, when residents of the LAMAR POINT community near the LAMAR POINT campground, and the CLAYS BLUFF area of the lake began reporting to the TBRC encounters with the creatures we commonly refer to as "Bigfoot".
As the years have passed, certain Bigfoot celebrities/sensationalists from the west coast began "investigating" and "researching" the lake after being invited to do so by a local resident and his family and friends.
[All this is past history]
We felt with all the attention focused on this area, that it was time to venture into other areas where we knew the creatures had been sighted and encountered.
For Kev and Deidra there was only one place they had on their mind. BROKEN BOW LAKE, and its surrounding areas. After discussion, John and I agreed that yes...the time had come to abandon PAT MAYSE LAKE for the time being. Let others invest time, money and fuel into the area.
The decision we made has been exciting for the members of the TBG. We've recieved a great deal of positive feedback, and I think we've made the right decision.
For those who have hunted with us in the past i wish to thank you again on behalf of myself and the TBG. To those who had accepted our invitation to attend; and had to withdraw for various reasons...we also wish to thank you for your interest in TBG.
This year, we ARE NOT announcing the dates of our hunt via message boards, blogs, etc. Those friends and colleagues who might wish more information can email us at either timberlinebigfootgroup@yahoo.com, or davidholley@hotmail.com.
Regretably, there are a few researchers and colleagues which we feel that in good conscience we can not extend an invitation to.
We hope those which TBG members contact and extend invitations if possible. we'd love to see all.
