"SHADOWS IN THE FOREST" IS A FORUM DEDICATED TO THE FREE EXCHANGE OF INFORMATION CONCERNING THE CREATURES THE PUBLIC REFERS TO AS BIGFOOT, SASQUATCH, YETI, SKUNK APE, MOMO, ETC.
THIS IS A MODERATED FORUM AND YOUR POSTS WILL NOT APPEAR UNTIL APPROVED BY THE FORUM MODERATOR.
Traditionally men are thought to be the ones who hunt Bigfoot. However, one need only to go onto the numerous forums dedicated to the creatures to see that there are many ladies who share the male counterparts interest in the Bigfoot.
For a moment, I'd like to mention one of these ladies.
Deidra Myers. Deidra is a charter member and one of the original six owners of the TIMBERLINE BIGFOOT GROUP. She began hunting in September of 2004, when she, her brother Kevin Crombie, nephew Buck, Ben Beebe, Keith Simmons, Perry Murray, and Rodney Mixon [and family]joined John David and myself at Lamar Point for our first Fall Hunt.
Deidra and I went to the east side of the campground and John & Kevin went to the west. Both teams found evidence of BF activity in the area surrounding Lamar Point.
Deidra and I found three castable footprints. One of which was planted for us to find. It was obvious a cast had been pressed into the soil for us to find.
However, from the moment we began finding these tracks, Deidra began to see bones of various animals scattered throughout the field around us. Most were of dogs.
Following this inital hunt, Deidra became one of our "go to" people whenever we felt like we needed a team in the field scouting.
In Dec. 2006, while pregnant with her second child, Deidra joined John David and myself on a grueling scouting trip at PAT MAYSE LAKE. During this trip, we climbed hills [which she probably shouldn't have been climbing], and helped us set up game cameras. At the end of the day, John told Deidra she could continue to go into the field as long as she felt she could, but she would not be climbing any more hills until after her child was born.
She has missed only one hunt, and had she been there certain jerks who abandoned us in the field would have never been allowed to leave. [The huge cannon she carries would have prevented this.]
At some point in our association and friendship [with John heading up a team of members] she became my field partner. [She has been my adopted sister for a long time, and outside of John] my closest confidant.
There are others to be sure who do as much and more in the field; and who post on different forums, I know, because lately...I've been visiting other forums again, but sheer determination and focus on getting this mystery solved, I salute my friend, my partner and my "little sis"; Deidra Myers of the TBG.
Thanks Dee. Anyone else like to praise the ladies?

Howdy and I would like to add my 2 cents to this.
Heck yea, Mz.Meyers Impressed me when I met her,she even carries that gun with confidence. She easily impressed me.Cant help but like her personally.
Hawk Spearman had a show on Blogtalk with the two Georgia boys on it.So when Deidra called in ,she just about tore them boys a new one,it's a good thing she didnt meet them in person,it woulda been messy.
Deidra Meyers is a Great Gal and I'm proud to know ner even if it isnt very well yet.I do look forward to seeing her again with the rest of the crew when we get together for the final Fall Hunt.
I admit I'm a little biased when it comes to Dee; she impressed one researcher enough that he told her brother Kevin and i that in October of 2008, he was returning to hunt with us; and was calling "dibs' on having Deidra work with him in the woods.
After finding out his plans were to play pornography in the woods in an effort to attract bigfoot; I killed that idea. After all, Deidra was going to have her children with her; and regardless what some people may think...TBG is a family, and no children need to be subjected to unsolicated trash such as this "researcher" wanted to use.
Deidra knew of the guys plans, and refused to go with him into the woods.
As per the blogtalk show BigfootTruthNLies, yes...she did corner the two bozo's and they did confess to her that they hoaxed the entire thing.
What you weren't told was she endured a lot of trash talk from these guys.
You can talk about all the women who hunt Bigfoot with individuals and other groups...but never sell them short.
