Sadly, I need to sell as I don't use her (female because she is quite capricious). She was garaged for about 20 years but is now sitting in the road here in North London - we have no garage. I don't drive anywhere much and family now has another car. 1974 reg, 1.6 litre automatic, 53,000 miles. White with a black top, shabby interior and exterior now getting slightly rusty and peeling. MOT runs out 6th March and there will be no tax.
Regarding the capricious bit, reluctant to start though goes fine once started; twice in the last 10 years the brake pedal has become gradually spongey to the point where it was flat on the floor and not braking at all - then it recovered on the way home (short journeys, last time a couple of miles from Kings Cross to North Islington) and all has been fine since then - went to the garage on both occasions, the first time (in Feb 2005) to "remove and strip brake master cylinder and fit new seals (new one no longer available) and replace front brake pads" and the second time (last October) they said they could find nothing wrong with the brakes (and brake fluid was OK), they drove it several times but brakes were fine, and I have driven it since then with no problems.
I have loved driving her (she is my second Capri) and I would like to think that most of her will live on and give someone else as much pleasure as I have had. I've got all the documentation, service history etc.
