actually, i don't care if you change it, it shouldn't need to be changed.

i don't remember reading that RELATED topics were forbidden, and you're talking about related topics. i seem to recall that i said it would cause a lot of confusion and argument if we took the different subforums too seriously, and i'm still waiting for people to figure it out:

if it's related to linux, you might as well feel free to talk about it here.

obviously, i didn't create this subforum, mac did at pete's suggestion. but i did have the very same idea, probably before pete did, and i'm probably not the first to think of it either. i remember when pete talked about it in chat.

a lot of fanatics would say that bsd topics don't belong in a linux subforum. they want it to be absolutely clear that bsd and linux are not the same thing (this is true...) but hey, gnu's not unix, right? nonetheless, i showed mac linux once, and he was right at home. gnu's not unix, and bsd isn't linux, but it's not the same as using the qbasic forum to talk about powerbasic, because this is a forum centered around qbasic, not around operating systems.
