I installed Xubuntu on a friend's computer a while back, and he was having some trouble with it, but he is not very technologically minded. I had some trouble working on it, but that is just learning curve stuff. I hope they've made some improvements. That older version of Xubuntu had some definite rough edges that needed to be smoothed out. The other thing I really want to try again is FreeBSD. I didn't have enough HDD space last time I tried it.
