The "job" of translation takes time. In areas where there is a bigger difference between the Windows way and the Linux way, the time will be longer. And programs which make use of OS functions more often will require more time. So running things in wine is often slower (often it's not noticeable, but sometimes it's significant) than running them in pure Windows on the same computer. However, wine does not pretend to be a computer running Windows. This method is MUCH slower, but more reliable. |
