Sounds like your Windows needs fixin

My XP is on 24 / 7 usually. I only reboot when it runs low on memory and gets slow. The only problem I presently have is when I run QB programs. I may lose the wireless Internet connection, but I think that my wireless card and software are a piece of crap. I often have to allow Windows to make the connection when the software refuses to connect. I also use LOW in my batch files that use QB to help.

I'd just try reinstalling "over top" of the previous XP. Then you don't need to reinstall your other programs. I have done that twice, but I did have a virus once.

I hope Linux can work out in the future. I just don't feel a real need to attempt to change things at this point in time. Unfortunately there are a lot of other people that feel the same way!

Ted
