Installing debian to usb drive

by Simmons (no login)

The drive is apparently too small to do automatic partitioning. I'm attempting to do it manually, but it's a bit confusing.

I want the drive to be encrypted, but making heads or tails out of the menu is difficult.

LVM, partitions, primary vs logical, root, boot, swap space, ext, blah, blah, etc. I have managed to set something up that the installer seems happy with, but I have no idea if it's ideal or will even function properly.
