Accuracy of information gathered from pollsFebruary 28 2007 at 6:47 PM | Moon (Login -Moon-) SENIOR MEMBER |
| Hello, I would like to bring to focus an issue of certain type of questions which may not give actual/accurate information with a poll. This is especially the question about users' success with NBE. Every poll needs as many answers as possible to provide the most accurate information. But on this question, the answers would soon become out of date, as members progress on NBE would change.
So I'm wondering how to make a poll about NBE sucess which would give accurate information? Only two things come to my mind, but both solutions are very imperfect:
1 - Repeating the poll, having the same poll every determined ammount of time. This would update the changes in people's answers, but it would loose all the before gathered information.
2 - A poll where every member is able to update their vote, a dynamic poll. But if I'm not mistaking this isn't possible to make due to techical reasons.
Anyone else has any more ideas for a solution to this particular problem? Write here if you can think of any other questions might be hard to measure with a poll, any other accuracy problems or solutions.

I had much the same thought. Surveys really only work well for details that can't ever change, e.g. how old were you when you started NBE? |

As I understand it, this problem has been resolved, i.e. the way the polls are set up now is indeed dynamic, i.e. members can update their votes as mentioned above (until the poll is closed). |
