Hello,
Today is your birthday and I am sitting here reflecting on the relationship I had with you before I left the Amish. As I recall you were like the light in my life and I was trying to keep you safe. We had a wonderful relationship together, I would say more like mother/daughter then sisters.
Its been four and half years since I have seen you. Not because I don't care but because I cared enough to try to change things for you and try to make them different so you wouldn't grow up being raped over a decade and being beat by William. I pray that you are not being raped in the home you have been placed.
It makes me so angry that I am not allowed to speak to you. I miss you alot and not a day goes by that i do not wonder how you are doing.
Also I am sure by now you might have heard that I married a wonderful man and we have a daughter together. We decided to name her after you, because you are someone I love and would love to have you in our daughters life.
Maybe someday you will know the truth about why I left and then we will be able to build a new relationship.
I love you, Sister of mine and I hope that today is a day of new beginnings for you and you have a much better life now then when I was living there and people were doing horrible things to you.
Happy Birthday!
Love your Sister,
Mary |
