Thats alright about being busy you probably have a lot of things to do since you got a little one to take care of now,
And I pray that you are now a lot more happy with the family you have now,
My sister mary from florida called me and wanted me to go and Look at the place she bought Over Ebay, in Beattysville Ky, The place needs A lot of work the house is run down a lot,
She might get me to remodel it, she is thinking about moving up here to the country,
when I went over to look at it I went on up to Ohio to where my sister Anna lives Swartzentruber Amish, my brother David also swartzentruber Amish, had come in for a visit from Mo, I got to see both of them and spend the night in an Swartzentruber Amish house,, It was different again, she made Cracker Coffee soup which was a treat I have'nt had for a long time,
I found out my cousin Jacob (swartzentruber Amish,) moved to wisconson
I'm wondering if maybe he moved into the same comunity that your family is in, Is there more than one comunity of swartz In wisconson.

the one community of swartzentruber amish i know of are located in Viroqua east of highway 14-61. I have never been there but they always drive to Viroqua and peddle their goods at the WWTC parking lot on mainstreet. Thats the only community I know of that is swartzentruber amish. but then again there could eb more somewhere.

I was born into the troyer amish church or something like that then after i was five we moved to sallys home community which was not considered troyer. after that i never lived in a community that was considered swartzentruber or troyer or anything like that..
If you read my announcement that I put up a couple days ago you will see that I plan to watch the PACKERS play some football on THanksgiving and make some pumpkin pie..yummy also we're going to a friends house for dinner.. Hope you have a great Thanksgiving with going to your amish siblings house.. I can't imagine how nice that must be to be able to go visit them like that.

I have been reading your message board, having recently found your website from doing research on the Amish and other anabaptist groups. I almost never watch the news, so I hadn't heard of your story until I happened upon it online the other day. Through reading about what you endured (and other similar links) I now have a much clearer understanding of how these things can (and apparently do) perpetuate themselves uniquely among the Amish - being a "closed-off" community. I have to agree with you that the Amish seem to fit into the category of a cult.
I was very sorry to read of what you went through, Mary. It particularly caught my attention because I actually know someone else very close to me in my life who was also molested by siblings, and has suffered greatly as a result. My heart goes out to you, and I will keep you in my prayers. By the way, don't give up on God Himself - it is interesting to me to note that the Amish discourage an individual from reading the bible too much, or studying it too deeply on a personal basis - because for one thing that is a great way to truly know God for yourself - and also, of course, because that is again one of the hallmarks of a religious cult - to "interpret" the bible "for you".
One of the things I had wanted to ask you about was if the Amish celebrate Thanksgiving, but that has pretty much been answered in your recent posts. Congratulations on the new baby you are expecting, and wishing you peace, and joy, and many blessings in life.

OK that explains what you come from, I had thought you was from the swartzebtruber,
And it sounds like you are doing good with your new freinds,
And Dee is right about the Amish or at least where I come out Of,
when we wanted to know about the Bible, My Mom told me that I just have to Obey the bishop,
And my brother Mose went to the Bishop with the Bible and asked him why they are not doing things according to the Bible,
the Bishop said they don't do it that way, because it brings friction in the church, so they operate according to what the church says Instead of the Bible,
thats where me and mose could not go along with, we left, we believe that we should operate according to the Bible,
And I can understand where your church was so far from the bible,
In the way they treaded you, it wasn't even close to any bible character,,
when ever a church operates on man made Ideas, it becomes so carnal, that all these evil things will take place,,
thats why its very important to have the word of God as the head in order to be able to live a good life and treat each other with respect, especially the lady's,
the way I treaded my family where I come out Of, I would only visit them maybe every three years, I'd only go back for a visit;
I would still love them and show them that I cared, but I wouldn't go back to that church,,
all of my brothers and sisters left also, and that left the parents all by theirself, Untill they got to old to take care of themselves, One brother and a sister went back to take care of them untill they passed away,
now the sister and her bishop are in a disagreement, thats one reason why she moved from kidron Ohio ,down to cincinnatti Ohio,
two of her children are not obeying the bishops traditions any more,
and the bishop was getting on them, about it, but my sister says that he don't have scripture for it,, therefore she is now looking to the bible instead of the bishop's traditions,
but they are still in there trying to come to an agreement,
My brother that is still in there is still a full blooded swartzentruber I really pity his family ,, they are the ones that suffers because of it,,
