Why can't I hit the ball as far as John Daly?

This question has been asked to AJ while giving golf lessons. He answers with this question, can you throw a football 90 yards in the air? John Daly can, I guess you call this a gift.

So if you don't have this gift how can you hit the golf ball as far as AJ? AJ's answer is you have to know how to use the tool which is the golf club.
