If I am reading your statements correctly, my LPG hybrid will fit in well with the Bonar instruction.

My swing is more conventional than the standard LPG. I still kept the lead arm slightly bent at the top but my hand placement is more outside the shoulder rather than nestle up next to the trail shoulder. I don't have to worry about the "fishook" downswing and coming in too steep on the ball.

For me, there are two advantages for the LPG type swing. It takes a lot of pressure off your lower back and you can generate more speed on the downswing with the bent lead arm. Unfortunately, I tend to get a little wild with it.
