Just like every month I want to thank all of you for making this months show another great one. Not only was it our 2nd birthday it was also the birthday of one of our long-time friends and member of the club Jeff Lockhart. Thanks to Lisa and Mary for bringing the cake and cupcakes. Thanks to all of you who help every month none of this would be possible without you! I also want to give a special thanks to Jeff and Lisa as well as Justin and Brittany for donating the decals. I have no doubt that they will draw some new-comers to future shows. And thanks to all the people who took one for their car, helping spread the word.
Our next show is Oct. 4th. This is going to be our "Alabama Appreciation Show" To all of our Alabama members this will mean 20% off of registration. I plan to do this for all of the states which we have members from. I hope this helps with the cost of gas for our supporters.
I have also decided to try the "Pie Smashing" challenge again. If the next 2 shows both surpass the 100 dog mark then I will allow our members to bring and smash their cake into my face. Same rules as last time. Over 80% of our shows have passed the 100 dog mark, so all you have to do put 2 in a row.
If any of you have am issue with the point standings you must inform me of the complaint before the Oct 4th show. As of Oct. 4th we will not review any challenges to the point standings. Points obtained Oct. 4th through December 31st can still be reviewed. So, unless an issue is brought to my attention before Oct.4th all points up to Oct. 4th are not reviewable. So everyone take a look at the website and make sure our points match up with what you believe you should have.
If any of you are interested in purchasing a VSBA softball t-shirt we are taking orders now. These are t-shirts with a number on the back and also tnpitbullclub.com across the top. The front has VSBA down one side. I will get better pics on the website this week but you can get an idea of what they look like by going to the website and clicking the VSBA PITBULLS link. You can pick your own colors for $15 per shirt. E-mail or call to place your order. Also the VSBA logo t-shirts that are on the website can now be ordered with free shipping. This makes the total price $12 per shirt. We have sizes from small to 2X. I would like to get a bunch of these shirts out there to help spread the word. With all of that said we expect next months show to be one of our largest ever. With the summer heat finally leaving we expect our weight pull to be huge! Don't forget the weight pull winner gets have of all the entry fees paid back to them in cash! Not to mention the custom weight pull awards! We will also be giving out a free raffle ticket with every dog entered. The raffle prizes range from discounted or free shows to cash prizes and gas cards. As always there will be 28 extremely nice trophy awards and 94 ribbons awarded. I hope all of you who have been waiting to attend choose this show to make the trip. Looking forward to seeing many new faces especially from Alabama!
