This is the first Bible study topic, i have started it off by typing up the first chapter of Matthew. Myself as well as everone else just respond to this with insights and thoughts on it. So here we go into the Word of God
The Gospel According to
MATTHEW
Matthew is the gosple written by a Jew to Jews about a Jew. Matthew is the writer, his countrymen are the readers and Jesus Christ is the subject. Matthew's design is to present Jesus as the King of the Jews, the long awaited Messiah. Through a carefully selected series of Old Testament quotations, Matthew sages, and documents Jesus Christ's claim to be the Messiah. His genealogy, baptism, messages, and miracles all point to the same inescapable conclusion: Christ is King. Even in His death, seeming defeat is turned to victory by the Resurrection, and the message again echoes forth: the King of the Jews lives.
At an early date this gospel was given the title Kata Matthaion, "According to Matthew." As this title suggests, other gospel accounts were known at that time (the word "Gospel" was added later). Matthew ("Gift of the Lord") was also surnamed Levi (Mark 2:14:Luke5:27)

1) The book of generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
2) Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas and his brethern;
3) And Judas begat Pha-res and Za-ra of Tha-mar; and Pha-res begat Es-rom; and Es-rom begat A-ram
4) And A-ram begat A-min-a-dab; and A-min-a-dab begat Na-as-son; and Na-as-son begat Sal-mon;
5) And Sal-mon begat Bo-oz of Ra-chab; and Bo-oz begat o-bed of Ruth; and O-bed begat Jesse
6) And Jesse begat David the kind; and David the king begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of U-ri-as;
7) And Solomon begat Ro-bo-am; and Ro-bo-am begat A-bi-a; and A-bi-a begat A-sa;
8) And A-sa begat Jos-a-phat; and Jos-a-phat begat Jo-ram; and Jo-ram begat O-zi-as;
9) And O-zi-as begat Jo-a-tham; and Jo-a-tham begat A-chaz; and A-chaz begat Ez-e-ki-as
10) And Ez-e-ki-as begat Ma-nas-ses; and Ma-nas-ses begat Amon and Amon begat Jo-si-as;
11)And Jo-si-as begat Jech-o-ni-as and his breathern, about the time they were carried away to Babylon
12) And after they were brought to Babylon Jech-o-ni-as begat Sa-la-thi-el; and Sa-la-thi-el begat Zo-rob-a-bel;
13) And Zo-rob-a-bel begat A-bi-ud; and A-bi-ud begat E-li-a-kim; and E-li-a-kim begat A-zor;
14) And A-zor begat Sa-doc; and Sa-doc begat A-chim; and A-chim begat E-li-ud;
15) And E-li-ud begat E-le-a-zar;
and E-le-a-zar begat Mat-than; and Math-than begat Jacob;
16)And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus who is called Christ
17) So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen gnerations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations
Birth Of Christ
18) Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was Espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with a child of the Holy Ghost.
19) Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and notwilling to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.
20) But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife; for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
21) And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
22) Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying
23) Behold, A VIRGIN SHALL BE WITH CHILD, AND SHALL BRING FORTH A SON, AND THEY SHALL CALL HIS NAME Em-MAN-UEL, which being interpreted is, God with us.
24) Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:
25) And knew her not till she had brough forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.
