I had left inguinal hernia repair with mesh 6 months ago. Had terrible neuritic symptoms for 3 days. That resolved. Area at incision and down to inner thigh completely numb. occasional very slight pain at incision site with a lot of activity. What's the chances of numbness and pain going away? Is this normal? Thank you.

Any progress?

I was wondering if your symptoms have resolved. I had a femoral hernia repaired 9 weeks ago and have the same symptoms. I also have these syptoms on the opposite side of the groin from the surgery and cannot tell if this is a side effect or a completely different hernia (or even another problem). Has your numbness resolved? If so, how long did it take? Did you experience any burning sensations in addition to the numbness?
