I have this area behind my scrotum near my rectal anus area that feels odd and has me worried. I can insert my finger in all the way behind my scrotum to near my rectal area. I assume this would be in the levator ani muscle area. I feel this thing that is easily reducible or easily movable I cant tell. Then at the very bottom of it where the muscle floor is I feel a painless non-reducable lump like thing. Could this be a perineum hernia or is it fat or fascia? I think I've messed with it so much I've made it sore. It just feel odd because I cant feel this on the other side of my body just on the left perineum side. Could Dr. Goodyear or someone answer me? Im worried I have another hernia.

If you haven't already made an appointment with your primary care provider, you need to. Dr. Goodyear will not give you a definitive diagnosis without having seen your medical history and having done a physical examination. At most he might say the symptoms you have described are consistent with having a hernia, and recommend that you go see your physician.

I can tell you that it is NOT a hernia. The only time men can get hernias in this area if after surgery to remove the rectum. You may have a cyst. See a surgeon.

This may simply be part of the base of your penis, the bulbospongiosus. Quit playing with yourself.
