Hey so has everyone calmed down? This site is very informational. We all have learned a lot from it. What I find so sad is that more and more health insurances our trying to drop clients whom have preexisting conditions such as hernias that keep coming back. Everyone hold strong a believe. There is hope it someday will find us.

Just watch the movie Sicko, Michael Moore put out a few year's ago.Wall Street Investor's control Insurance Compaies. They insurance companies pay out to much in recurrence, then no mny is made. Just yesterday Aetna says 2Q profits drops due to greater commercial expenses .... this was in AOL News through fox 8 news. I have ben told (no) by 3 well known copmanies. So now Husband going to see if he can get me on his job, insurance. Think this is bad, try getting S.S.Disability. you got to die first.

Disability

You mentioned disability. In my case, I waitress. I've been at my job for over 20 years. Thank God they keep me.
But for me to get a job elsewhere, it would be impossible. I think I could be a newspaper carrier, but that includes heavylifting. I am not suppose to lift anything over 15 pounds!
No matter what job you have, there is lifting involved.
I haven't tried for disability, but I know I wouldn't get it. And I don't think I want it either. I just think it's a shame, besides going to college, which I don't have the money for, to work most jobs. I live in a small town, so the options aren't here.

Hi, Louise, I hear you on the small town, Where are you at?? You can say we are kind of in the same boat. I guess Hernia's , I think Hernia's were or may have been a back burner surgery. It seems they are coming to the forlight, with problems as to how they should be repaired. Tension you got a high recurrence rate, more when other surgery has been done prior. Now people 's bodies rejection to the mesh.. I am labeled a job risk, with now going on 4th abdominal surgery, uninsurable. Just one falling through the health care system.. I have worked all my life with a lot of lifting pulling, pushing etc limited to not lift heavy over 5lbs.... our health system sure is a mess.
