Hello, I know an exact diagnosis can't be given but I am looking for help. I have had two previous hernia surgeries. The first one was a bilateral inguinal lathroscopic repair. The hernia came back on the right side and they preformed the open mesh repair. A few weeks ago I started having severe pain in my lower right groin when lifting and standing for long periods at work. Some times I would even have to sit right down to make the pain go away. It would also swell up from time to time. I think the hernia may have came back. I saw my surgeon and he doesn't know whats wrong he ordered a CT Scan but nothing showed up but an ER doctor said he felt the tip on one using the finger test etc.....Has anyone had problems like this before and it was another diagnosis any help would be appreciated I am in a lot of pain sad.gif

RE Michael/ Roger Questions Hernia

Roger, It depends on type of hernia. and how bad it is. It use to be if you can get it fixed as soon as possible do it. less chance of having bigger problems down the road. Also depending on how you pay for surgery plays a part. With the health insurance crisses and the hernia mesh law suits a lot of surgeons emergency rooms are only taking patients on entrapment cases, if near death is the case.
