Dr. Goodyear, I'm about 2 years post op on a left sided inguinal hernia repair via UHS and you also did a Varicoletomy on my left side at the same time. I have noticed that over the last few months the varicose veins in my left scrotum have been getting bigger again.. is this normal? how does the varicocele come back once you cut the veins? I think I remember you telling me you cut 3 or 4 veins.
is it possible that a hernia could have caused the varicole because the hernia might have been putting pressure on the spermatic cord thus restricting the veins?
