Are there any patients of Dr Grischkan on here who can comment on there experience? I have a femoral hernia and am thinking of going to him for the surgery. My inurance does not cover his office, but I've readd things about him and think it may be worth my while to pay out of pocket. Can anyone comment?
Dr. Grishkan was the only one who was able to take care of my ongoing pain saga since 1982 after a inguinial hernia repair that left me with chronic pain. I saw many other surgeons & went through several more surgeries that did not help. I would definitly see him again & wish I had known of him many years ago.
Last summer Dr. Grischkan removed a plug and patch from me. I was in much pain and discomfort from a hernia surgery I had two months earlier with a general surgeon. He gave me my quality of life back. His staff and surgical center was first rate. He is a very skilled surgeon and I would recommend him highly.
Did you guys travel from out of state to see him? And if you did, how did you set up the surgery? With a phone consulate before? I have come to the conclusion that I am going to have to travel to see a surgeon to try and control the nerve pain form my hernia surgery.
I traveled from Indiana. I sent him my records & he called me & we discussed things in great detail. I met him a little while later on a Thursday & the surgery was the next morning. I stayed Friday night at a local hotel & came home on Saturday. I would highly recommend him. Norm

Thank you for the info. The doctor just called me tonight after he read my records. Did you go there for a hernia or a problem with a hernia surgery?
I went there after having right side inguinial hernia repair in 1982 & was left with chronic pain. Saw many other doctors & surgeons who tried to resolve it but never could. After 4 failed surgeries Dr. Grishkan went in 2004 & found the problem & now I am 99.9% painfree. It was something to do with the internal ring.
I had multiple surgeries to stop the chronic pain. These surgeries were to clip the nerves. They also found several small hernias that they repaired also.
