This is not a joke. When I was about 10, I gave myself an inquinal by rubbing on my matress and hand at the same time. I told my parents, and it got diagonosed and repaired. About 7 yrs later, like a dope, I did it again. This time though, I was told I was fine. I am now 38, and been to 3 other docters and told the same thing. This injury affects my lenght and sensitivity, so it's obvious why I need it fixed! I am in Mi. - is there anyone near me you could recommend? I'd like to come out to PA, but money and time off from work may be an issue. Thanks for reading.

Actually Dr. Goodyear I believe the MI referred to Michigan. Mark I believe you are on the east side of the state, a couple places that will be closer for you, although the quality of care I can not testify to. There is the Hernia Center of Michigan in Grand Rapids, MI. Also Mercy Hernia Center in Toledo, OH. Both have websites. Although having been a patient of Dr. Goodyear I do feel its worth a trip to his clinic.

Note that I don't have any of the 4 characteristic bulges of an inguinal. Something of note is I feel a painful pinch down low if I have to hold a bowel movement for any period of time.
